Randall Schmit is an American artist of Dutch descent, currently living and working in the New York Hudson Valley.
Best-known for his expressive gesture, abstract form and use of comic imagery to create situational space within allegorical paintings, his work is at once graphic and expressive, joining secular and mythical images inside ambiguous spaces to arrive at a juncture of surreal graphic novel and biomorphic expressionist painting.
